Cathulusweeper
How to play
Cathulusweeper is a grid-based puzzle game that combines Minesweeper-style deduction with light RPG mechanics. Each revealed number indicates the sum of levels of adjacent hostile creatures, not a simple mine count. Use this information to infer which tiles are safe to open.
Combat resolves when you engage a hostile tile: you lose hit points equal to the creature’s level and gain experience equal to that level. Reaching zero HP ends the run.
Progression is manual: when your experience meets the requirement for the next level, use the level up (bottom right). Leveling restores you to full health and increases maximum health, improving your ability to survive later encounters. Consumables and items (potions, chests, shields, scrolls, area-reveal tools, etc.) support exploration and recovery.
Objective — clear the board’s threats and defeat the final boss to win.
